Gambling & Gaming Licensing covers legal assessment, documentation and practical support in the UAE. The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) is the UAE federal authority responsible for commercial gaming regulation and licensing. An ordinary mainland or free-zone commercial licence does not itself authorise commercial gaming. We support operators and investors in assessing published GCGRA requirements and preparing jurisdiction-appropriate compliance materials.
Whether a proposed activity is eligible for licensing, and the licence category and conditions that may apply, must be confirmed directly under the GCGRA framework in force when the application is prepared.
We advise operators on navigating GCGRA requirements - from the preliminary eligibility assessment and licence-application preparation to building the internal regulatory-compliance framework (AML/CTF, responsible gaming, data protection) and ongoing engagement with the licensing authority.
We support corporate structuring only after confirming the current GCGRA requirements for the proposed activity, applicant and place of establishment; no general assumption is made about local ownership, capital or free-zone eligibility.
